Ida Barleben grew up in a musical family and completed a bachelor's degree in elementary music education and a master's degree in children's and youth choir conducting, majoring in voice, at the Hanover University of Music, Drama and Media. She is a co-founder of the internationally award-winning vocal ensemble Voktett Hannover and has led the Junge MarkusChöre in Hanover for many years, where she sings with children and young people from preschool age to youth choir.
